ANDY BORGERDING
Principal | Founder
Andy has a passion for Architecture and an eye for design. With undergraduate and master’s degrees in Architecture from Portland State University, Andy was educated with sustainability and the environment in mind. Portland State and its urban campus allowed him direct access and interaction with all aspects of the built environment. Once graduated, Andy worked as Office manager at Fosler Architecture where he rose through the ranks to partner. While at Fosler Architecture Andy worked in a multitude of areas including: Commercial Tenant Improvements, Renovations of Existing Structures, Commercial Retail, Restaurants, Bars, Nightclubs, Office Spaces, Warehouse Spaces, and Outdoor Areas with Urban Planning. Andy has designed and managed construction for dozen’s of building projects from concept to occupancy. From three level “woody walk-ups” to eleven level heavy timber structure apartment projects, Andy has experience with Pre-Design, Construction Documents, Permitting, Bidding, and Construction Administration. Although Andy is a designer at heart, his specialty became being able to successfully manage the City of Portland permitting process for large commercial projects and receive a permit in a timely manner without sacrificing design. After constructing his first house with his own hands from design to occupancy, Andy fell in love with the art of making. The attention to detail and the art of the craft drive him to the highest design standards and create quality products that are both attractive and functional.
